Ingredients
  

For the cake

  • 2 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 2 1/2 tsp baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 3/4 cups granulated sugar
  • 4 large eggs
  • 1 tbsp vanilla extract
  • 1 cup whole milk
  • 1/2 cup sour cream

For the filling

  • 2 cups fresh strawberries, diced Use fresh for best flavor.
  • 1/3 cup sugar
  • 1 tbsp cornstarch
  • 2 tbsp water

For the frosting

  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 2 1/2 cups powdered sugar
  • 1 cup white chocolate, melted and cooled
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and line three round cake pans.
  • In a bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, and salt.
  • In another bowl, beat the softened butter and sugar until fluffy.
  • Add the eggs one by one, then mix in the vanilla and sour cream.
  • Gradually alternate adding the dry ingredients and milk until combined.
  • Divide the batter equally into the pans and bake for 25–30 minutes.
  • Allow the cakes to cool completely.

Make Strawberry Filling

  • In a saucepan, mix the diced strawberries, sugar, cornstarch, and water.
  • Cook over medium heat until thickened, about 5–7 minutes.
  • Once thickened, let it cool completely.

Make Frosting

  • Beat the cream cheese and softened butter until smooth.
  • Gradually add the powdered sugar, mixing until combined.
  • Stir in the melted white chocolate and vanilla extract.
  • Beat until the frosting is fluffy.

Assemble Cake

  • Place your first cake layer on a serving plate.
  • Spread a layer of frosting, followed by the strawberry filling.
  • Repeat this process for the remaining layers.
  • Once all layers are stacked, frost the entire cake and decorate with extra strawberries or white chocolate curls.
  • For the best texture, chill the cake for 30 minutes before slicing.
