  • 1 cup milk
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted

  • 1 tsp cinnamon (optional) Can be omitted if preferred.
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • Extra pieces banana slices for top

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • Pour the melted butter into a greased 9x9 baking dish.
  • In a bowl, whisk together the flour, sugar, baking powder, salt, and optional cinnamon.
  • Stir in the milk and vanilla until smooth.
  • Pour the batter evenly over the melted butter (do not stir).
  • Layer the sliced bananas evenly over the batter.
  • Sprinkle brown sugar on top.

Baking

  • Bake for 40–45 minutes or until golden brown and bubbly.
  • Let cool slightly before serving.

Notes

Serve warm with ice cream or whipped cream. For an extra indulgence, try caramel sauce or nuts as toppings. Store cooled cobbler in the refrigerator for up to three days, or freeze it for longer storage.
