  • 1 head head of green or red leaf lettuce, washed and chopped About 6-8 cups
  • 5 stalks celery, chopped
  • 1 green apple cored and chopped
  • 1 piece lime, peeled
  • 1 inch fresh ginger, peeled
  • 1 cup water if using a blender

Preparation

  • Cut the celery and apple into large pieces if using a juicer; for a blender, make them smaller.

Juicing

  • If you are using a juicer, run the pieces through and collect the juice in a pitcher. Chill or serve immediately.
  • If you are using a blender, add the lettuce, celery, apple, lime, ginger, and water. Blend on high for 20-30 seconds until smooth.
  • Pour the blended juice through a nut milk bag, squeezing from the top to let the juice flow into the pitcher. Discard the pulp or save it for another use.

Serving

  • Serve the juice immediately for the best flavor.

Notes

If you have leftovers, store the juice in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 24 hours. Just give it a good shake before serving, as it may separate. Use chilled ingredients or add ice for an extra refreshing drink.
