Ingredients
  

Pasta

  • 200 g spaghetti Use whole wheat for a healthier option.

Sauce

  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 400 g diced tomatoes, canned
  • 1 tsp dried basil
  • 1 tsp salt Add a pinch to the boiling water.
  • 0.5 tsp black pepper
  • to taste Grated Parmesan cheese, for serving Can use dairy-free alternative for vegan option.

Preparation

  • In a large pot, boil water and add a pinch of salt.
  • Add spaghetti and cook until al dente, about 8-10 minutes.

Cooking the Sauce

  • In a pan, heat olive oil over medium heat.
  • Add minced garlic and sauté until fragrant.
  • Stir in diced tomatoes, dried basil, salt, and black pepper.
  • Let the sauce simmer for about 10 minutes.

Assembly

  • Drain the cooked spaghetti and mix it into the sauce.
  • Serve hot, topped with grated Parmesan cheese.

Notes

Best served hot, garnished with freshly grated Parmesan cheese. Pair with a side salad and garlic bread. For added flavor, sprinkle with red pepper flakes or fresh herbs before serving. Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days.
