  • 2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour Measure accurately for best texture.
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • 1/2 tsp salt

Wet Ingredients

  • 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 3/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 3/4 cup brown sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 tsp vanilla extract

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • In a bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt.
  • In another bowl, beat the softened butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until fluffy.
  • Mix in the eggs one at a time, then add the vanilla extract.
  • Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients and mix until combined.
  • Fold in the chocolate chips.
  • Scoop dough into balls and place them on a lined baking tray.
  • Bake for 10–12 minutes until the edges are golden.
  • Let cool for 5 minutes before serving. For an extra treat, drizzle melted chocolate on top!

Notes

Store chocolate chip cookies in an airtight container at room temperature to keep them fresh for about a week. You can also freeze cookie dough or baked cookies. For chewier cookies, chill the dough for 30 minutes before baking.
