  • 1 ripe banana 1 ripe banana Use overripe bananas for added sweetness and moisture.
  • 1 cup 1 cup oats
  • 1 egg 1 egg Can substitute with a flax egg for a vegan option.
  • 1/4 cup 1/4 cup milk Use plant-based milk for a vegan version.
  • 2 tbsp 2 tbsp honey Maple syrup can be used as a substitute.
  • 1/2 tsp 1/2 tsp cinnamon Experiment with nutmeg for a different flavor.
  • 1/2 tsp 1/2 tsp baking powder

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 180°C (350°F).
  • Mash the banana in a bowl until smooth.
  • Add the oats, egg, milk, honey, cinnamon, and baking powder, and mix well until combined.
  • Pour the batter into a greased or lined 6x6 inch pan.

Baking

  • Bake for 20–25 minutes until golden and set.
  • Let cool completely, then slice into 4 bars.

Notes

These bars can be enjoyed warm or cold. Pair with fresh fruit or yogurt for a complete breakfast. Store in an airtight container at room temperature for a few days, or refrigerate/freezer for longer storage. Try adding chocolate chips, chopped nuts, or raisins for extra flavor.
